Caisses d’Epargne provides around one-third of personal microcredit in France. Since 2005, they operate through two different channels, one of which is a network of Parcours Confiance associations that is considered as a specialised microcredit unit within the bank. Personal microcredit has proven to be a flexible tool to address a wide variety of social needs; in this document, we see three innovative personal microcredits developed by this institution. They cover microcredit for housing, rent arrears in order to avoid eviction and fuel supply for households in rural areas.
