fi-compass announced the upcoming ‘Thematic workshop on Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship’, organised by the European Commission, Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion (DG EMPL), and the European Investment Bank (EIB) taking place on 10 September 2019, in Lisbon.
Online registration for the workshop will be open until Friday, 4 September 2019. Early registrations are encouraged.
During this workshop, the fi-compass community will get to know more about the potential of financial instruments co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF) to support initiatives and enterprises with measurable social impact.
The Portuguese Social Innovation (PSI) case study, a pioneering initiative in this domain, which will be discussed during the workshop, will shed light on innovative ESF financing instruments that are being implemented during the 2014-2020 programming period in Portugal.
Whom will you meet at the workshop?
This thematic workshop is designed especially for ESF managing authorities and other stakeholders from all EU Member States directly involved or planning to become involved in the design, set-up and implementation of financial instruments in support of social innovation and social entrepreneurship. The number of participants will be limited in order to encourage peer interaction.

The workshop will take place at the Hotel Sofitel Lisbon Liberdade, Av. da Liberdade 127, 1269-038, Lisbon, Portugal.
Language
The main language of the workshop will be English. Simultaneous interpretation to and from Portuguese will be provided.
