On 22nd November, EMN, represented by its Deputy Director Caroline Lentz, participated in the webinar "La microfinance en Europe : état des lieux et perspectives d’un secteur prometteur" organised by FinDev in partnership with Convergences.
Microfinance is a tool historically intended for developing countries, but it has also rapidly developed in Europe and it has experienced a relevant growth in recent years. Likewise, it has been presented as one of the answers to the economic and social crisis and to financial exclusion, and it has been encouraged by the public authorities. Yet it is still far from being fully implemented in this region.

- The data and trends of the microfinance sector in Europe presented by EMN.
- The disparity of economic models of East and West presented by INPULSE.
- The main obstacles to the development of the Microfinance sector and its opportunities, presented by ADIE.
