Melisa Manrique (she/her), was born in Lima and migrated to Rome at a young age with her family, where she grew up. Seeing her parents' efforts to build their lives in a new country without a support system, language knowledge or cultural understanding strongly shaped her personal and professional choices.

As the co-founder of "My Migrant Mama", she is committed to driving progress in the media industry magnifying FLINTA* migrant voices. At the heart of her work lies the power of storytelling and intergenerational dialogue as tools to celebrate migration. She has been awarded as Cultural and Creative Pilot by the German Federal Government for her purpose-driven work as co-founder of “My Migrant Mama”, a media company shaping the future of the migration narrative.
