On 13th October, ahead of the EMN General Assembly and Annual Conference, EMN organised a Study Visit at microStart in Brussels for a group of 13 representatives from various European microcredit providers.
After an introduction to microStart and its products, services, and business models, the Belgian MFI shared its considerable experience on a number of hot topics, including distribution models, 4-year digital roadmap, personal microcredit, response to the Covid crisis, etc. As always for this kind of exchange between practitioners, all participants praised the usefulness of the discussions in their feedback, and how valuable these would be in moving their own businesses forward, especially with regard to digitalisation.
These Study Visits are organised through the EaSI Technical Assistance programme of the European Union. They take place several times a year in different hosting institutions, and are entirely free for Selected Beneficiaries of the EaSI Programme, including food and accommodation.
