Together with its partners Finansol and FEBEA, EMN will host a workshop on 27 May, day 2 of the upcoming European Social Economy Summit (26-27 May 2021). This high profile digital conference will be jointly organised by the European Commission and the City of Mannheim and aims at strengthening the social economy in Europe and harness its contribution to economic development, social inclusion as well as green and digital transitions.
Key speakers for this conference include Christa Schweng, President of the European Economic and Social Committee, Nicolas Schmit, Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights, Thierry Breton, Commissioner for Internal Market, and Angel Gurría Secretary-General of the OECD.
Our workshop, entitled "Social Finance in Europe: a strong leverage towards an inclusive and green Europe" will be a great opportunity to shed light on different practices related to social finance in several European countries. It will aim at giving concrete examples on how social finance can ensure transparency for savers, create more jobs for deprived people and develop additional social impact. We would like to encourage everyone to join us for this session on 27 May at 11:30 (CEST)!
