On May 5th and 6th , the French Presidency of the Council of the EU and the city of Strasbourg will organise a high level conference on "Social Economy, the Future of Europe".
The event will gather institutions, social economy actors, national and European networks to discuss the future of social economy in Europe.
As part of the Conference, EMN will participate in two workshops:
- May 5th (1:30pm - 3:00pm): “Microfinance institutions: social enterprises facing the green wave” (in French)
With Adie, Cresus Foundation, Microeurope and the European Commission, we will discuss the role of microfinance institutions, as social economy entrepreneurs, in the green transition: What is the experience of MFIs in supporting households and micro-entrepreneurs through the ecological transition? What are the operational, legal and financial challenges faced by these organisations on the ground?
- May 6th (11:00am – 12:30pm): “The next 10 years of social finance” (in English
With FAIR, FEBEA, EVPA, the European Commission and EIF, we will discuss the next 10 years of social finance. What would it look like for European stakeholders, implementing the Action plan for social economy and developing social finance all across Europe?
